Hundred Hammer Games

Smash the Hundred and See the Maths

Hundred Hammer turns the 100 square into something children can pull apart and rebuild. Smash the hundred into four coloured sections, see each part as a quantity, percentage or fraction, then put the whole back together in chunks of 10, 5 or 1.

Start with Percentages to explore parts of 100, move into Fractions to simplify hundredths, then use Missing Percentage to work backwards from the known parts. The same animated 100-square model runs through all three games, so the maths changes while the visual structure stays familiar.

Percentages

Hundred Hammer – Percentages

Smash the 100 square into four coloured parts, reveal the percentage represented by each part, then rebuild the whole using chunks of 10, 5 or 1. The animation makes percentage visibly connected to parts of 100.

Fractions

Hundred Hammer – Fractions

Smash the 100 square into four coloured parts and simplify each part from hundredths. Rebuilding the hundred in chunks of 10, 5 or 1 keeps the fraction work tied to a clear visual model of the whole.
